Ipcc Report Summary 2024. During the sixth assessment cycle ( october 2015 to july 2023) the ipcc produced the sixth assessment report (ar6) with contributions by its three working groups and a synthesis. Ipcc agrees seventh assessment cycle structure.

The ipcc is currently in its seventh assessment cycle which formally began in july 2023 with elections of the new chair and new ipcc and tfi bureaus. The ipcc prepares comprehensive assessment reports about knowledge on climate change, its causes, potential impacts and response options.
